I&#39;m not sure about everyone else on this forum, but I hate watching an exact copy of things. I prefer that they either change a lot of things, or change nothing. If they change a lot of it, it&#39;s like watching a completely new series. If they only change a few things, then you can&#39;t help but notice and pick at those changes, like what happened with Twilight. YEAH! <br /><br />We lucked out- he only fractured two of his toes and crushed a vein. Not much he can do for the toes except wear tight socks (the two smallest toes) and doc gave him a couple of painful cortisone shots, but he has to go in for another MRI tomorrow to check on the vein. The doc has high hopes that it will eventually return to normal.<br /><br />So, hopefully the only thing he screwed up was our trip to look at condos in Florida. No sense going when he was hobbling around. Now it looks like maybe September before we have any chance of getting down there. But would he go to the ER yesterday? Oh hell no! He&#39;s too macho for that! <br /><br />Even today, he&#39;s decided that he just needs to get in to see his podiatrist... on a Wednesday (aka Golf Day)... yeah right. Not to mention he&#39;s ignoring the fact that his podiatrist has surgical privledges at a different hospital than the ones in our insurance network. And I have a funny feeling that surgery will be involved with this one.<br /><br />So at some point today I will hopefully have him convinced that he must go to the ER where we will probably spend 10 hours with everyone else who couldn&#39;t get in to see their doctors (because it&#39;s Wednesday). <br /><br />*sigh*<br /><br />I misses you guys too. Seriously, are you THAT afraid that you will become as hopelessly addicted as I was (and still am)? <br /><br />You know, thanks to Johanna Parker I was able to READ <I>Dead and Gone</I> and enjoyed the hell out of it. I still will buy the audio book, but Parker's previous Sookie narration has given me the ability to "hear" Sookie in my head when I'm reading now. I've never looked back to previous Audie Awards, but maybe she won an earlier one and she's now so identified with Sookie that no one singles her out anymore.<br /><br />As for the Narration by the Author category, I'm surprised that the Neil Gaiman book wasn't nominated there too. I haven't read or listened to <I>The Graveyard Book</I> but I don't think I've run across anyone who hasn't adored it.<br /><br />As soon as I finish end-of-month work crunch, I'm hoping to spend some time here and visiting other blogs.
