*****Permission to repost or forward granted*****

It's our birthday and we're celebrating by giving you a present!

All Romance eBooks will be celebrating our second birthday on November 1, 2008 and we couldn't think of a better way to mark the occasion than by passing on the gift of an eBook to as many readers, publishers, and authors as possible.

On November 1st all registered customers will receive a code good for one* free download! The customer picks the book, we purchase it, and authors and publishers earn their royalties. It's as simple as that.

And, not only is it simple now, it's simple every day to shop at All Romance eBooks. Simple category searches, simple checkout process, and a simple buy-ten-get-one-free reward program.

Help us spread the word to those that read eBooks and to anyone you think might like to try one. We have All the romance you need from all the publishers you love—and now we're giving it away!

I've never bought from them before, so what the hell, it won't cost me anything to check them out, right?

Now, this is something that bugs the living hell outta me, not just with this site but with MOST ebook sites-- why can't they include a secondary category? By that I mean (for instance) there are 1169 books listed under GLBT. Who the hell has time to browse through and read the blurbs for all of those? But if I could select a sub or secondary category like shape-shifter WITHIN the GLBT category, then I've just narrowed down the results to books I'd be interested in and eliminated those that I'm not.

At this point, I would select anthologies to browse through (253 of those), but since anthologies may or may not be included (bundles are excluded and the site lists the category name as Anthology/Bundle, so I dunno if those are the same thing) in the free book offer (bad move since that would allow me to try more voices), I'm looking for recs.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP RECS FOR ME AT ALL ROMANCE eBOOKS?
Keep in mind that, until I lay my hands on an eInk eReader, my ebook reading is next to nothing, so this has just GOT to be a REALLY good one that I absolutely should NOT miss!

Oh yeah, I was over at Kiss and Tell this morning and signed up for all those contests. Maybe I'll win something??? Plus you pointed out Jaci Burton's contest.

Nice of you since you're making me buy more books. :P

One of mine, of course! Might I suggest Accidentally Were?

*snort*

Hey, I'm nothing if not a trier :)

I must figure out which book to get myself. There was this Samhain one, but no I've forgotten the name, damn it. I really need to start keeping a 'I want to buy this' list.

MB, you say you want more contests? How about almost $4k in prizes? Marta Acosta has this link over on VampireWire: http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=1526

LOL Anne, I WILL keep you under consideration. And I DO have an "I want to buy" list (I call mine "Decadent Desires"), but I just haven't bothered much keeping it up to date until my tired old eyes get some eInk. Which looks like, unless Astak tells me something I want to hear, will probably be the new Sony Reader. In which case, I'm buying one of your way cool, tres chic eReader covers.

Oh crap (or as Tracy would say "OH CARP"), I am so stooopid, as soon as I hit publish, I realized that you aren't the Ann that does the covers, Anne Sommerville is. DOH! Must keep brain engaged while commenting.

I buy nearly all my e-books from ARe. I love them. I especially love that I get a coupon for a free book after every tenth book I buy.

I recommend Caught Running by Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban if you haven't already read it.

Nope, never heard of either author. I'll def check them out too.

Bianca D'Arc (I am getting Sweeter than Wine for my free one)

Kris, I've had her Lords of the Were on my Decadent Desires list for like FOREVER. So that's not a bad idea. Then again, there's Lanyon's Adrien English, and more Langley and I'm behind on a couple of Ann Aguirre's.

*sigh* I'm kind of glad I haven't been updating that list lately because it would REALLY be depressing to see all those ebooks I've been missing.

However, let's hope they get those discount codes emailed out, huh? I mean it IS Nov. 1 and I still haven't got mine yet.
