I am reading Thunder Moon by Lori Handeland and there is a character who likes Chuck Norris so during the story people are always leaving Chuck Norris jokes on his desk.
LOL. You know I've been trying to weed out authors that I buy/read out of habit rather than out of booklust, so I didn't even put Thunder Moon on my Constant Cravings list.
So thank you oh-so-much, Kris, for making me decide to NOT drop Handeland just yet. (note heavy sarcasm in my gratitude)
*sigh* Just what I needed-- another book to buy.
I got it from the library.
Okay, I guess I'm going to have to admit this publically to explain why I don't borrow books from the library or from anyone else.
1. I am a hoarder. Book= mine, mine, mine! I'm pretty sure I still have every book I've ever bought.
2. And here's my shameful secret...
I dog-ear books. Yes, that's right. I'm one of THOSE people. I dog-ear to hold my place, I dog ear to mark places I like or places I want to discuss or places that prove another point I want to make.
So there you have it. I am a book abuser and I don't intend to stop.
Oh, btw, that's still me in that response--- I'm trying to switch ownership of the blog over from my AOL email account with Blogger to my gmail account with google and Blogger. But this new ID won't let me upload my other icon, so I had to switch icons.
OMG, you dog-ear books? I'm so shocked! LOL
I've been known to do the same on occasion. But don't tell my husband because he won't even open a book enough to crease it. His books have to stay pristine!
This is what I love about my eBookwise, I just tap the screen and voila, a bookmark!
