I'm so glad I do absentee voting. I voted last week and don't have to deal with the throngs.

And I just found out through Twitter, that I can get a free silver bullet vibrator, and from the local news, a free cuppa from Starbucks for voting. :D

That's America for ya.

HOT DAMN, you Left Coasters know how to offer incentives! We only get free Starbucks, free Chik-Fil-A, and free Crispy Creme. Not a silver bullet to be found!

My two oldest kids voted early since they couldn't get home today. But this is the first year that Ohio allowed early voting. It's always allowed absentee voting with a good reason, but we've never been able to just show up early and vote before.

Besides, Tim and I always go vote together, so he went into work late and we showed up at our voting place at 8AM, which was a perfect time-- it's in a school and it was well before school started, but we missed the people that had to be at work at 8. So, really, the line for our precinct had maybe 5 people ahead of us, although the lines for other precincts that vote there were a bit longer- maybe a dozen people in each.

*sigh* I voted on the 22nd. Sadly, it didn't help much.
