Prezzies from The Evil One (updated)

Photobucket

It's an early Christmas over on Madelynne Ellis' (aka The Evil One's) blog where she's been posting snippets from her WIPs and upcoming publications.

Fortuna (upcoming Black Lace release connected to the Georgian era AGW; we met Fortuna in Phantasmagoria)

The Dreaded Contemporary (that's what she's been calling it as she's worked on it)

Pure Folly (this will be a Total-E-Bound release)

Maybe if we are very, very good, she'll post more because I can't imagine The Evil One would pass up a chance to tease us some more.

ADDED: We must have been VERY good because she's posted more WIPs:

Sheer Desperation

Burn

For more about Madelynne's historicals, see my offsite reviews:

I wonder how you could possibly have come to the realisation that I am "The Evil One" when you've never role-played with me!

Hmm, one to think about. LOL!

Ah, Bev, I'm sorry to disappoint, but Fortuna is still without a publisher due to BL's decision to avoid the historical market.

Forgot to say. I love the picture, but I'm a bit disturbed by the strange growth on his chin!

Wait... WHAT?! Seriously? Black Lace isn't buying historicals? Even ones written by YOU? Oh man, my spidey senses see the imminent demise of Black Lace. Have you submitted it anywhere else? If not, then submit it to Brava for their Aphrodisia line or Samhain or other places that actually want the BEST. But whatever you do, submit over HERE!

Oh, and I've found that goats (aka chin va-jay-jays) look smexy head-on but they ALL look kind of weird from the side, don't they?

::blink blink:: *_*

Was I just propositioned?!

Yeah, ur pimping Madelynne. :D You know I've enjoyed all her books, no matter the sub-genre.

Madelynne, Bev's right, offer it up to others. You write too well to have your stuff sidelined because one publisher is not accepting. And BTW, WTF is up with BL on that? They're missing the boat on this one.

Oh and that pic, Buwahaha! I didn't even notice that he had goatie. I kept seeing it as him sticking his tongue out. A weird looking tongue, which is why I thought that pic a bit off. LOL

Yeah, I see the chair from underside and the vase and not the two faces. *snort* Warning--right brainer here.

I'm working on it. Really, I am. Sadly, not everyone in publishing land sees things in quite the same way you do.

MB - Tongue? Tongue! How'd he get his tongue down there!

Madelynne, even better advice-- get an AGENT over here and let her/him shop your stuff around.

I'm a trying, believe me. The whole process is horrendously energy sapping.

You know, I was making coffee just now and for some reason you popped into my head and I thought, damn, but you'd be a great agent Bev.

You're a savvy business woman, and damn but you're great at ferreting out deals and sticking to the correspondence needed, and I'm gonna say that you the bestest in pimping authors.

You'd be a great agent!

AAAHHH! I'm not sure if I'm more flattered or more horrified, MB!

It would involve me being nice to publishers, wouldn't it? So... um... yeah, I could see bridges being burned on a weekly basis.

Clearly MB and I think alike, as I was only just contemplating how wonderful it would be if you were a literary agent.

I'm shaking my head in dismay. Flattered, mind you, but dismayed at just how inept I would actually be as an agent.
