Of Friends and Fever...

BBAW continues, so don't forget to stop by MyFriendAmy's for today's games and prizes!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Faefever Book CoverI made a run for the Border(s) today. Imagine my panic when I walked in and saw a display for the paperback of Bloodfever (which I bought to go with the hardcover and audio versions), BUT NO FAEFEVER! ZOMGWTF?!

So I raced strolled back to the Romance section and found 5 copies back there. When I got to the register I told the cashier that I was surprised there was no new-release display for Faefever since it came out today, particularly since there was such a big front and center display for Bloodfever. She told me that
"We didn't get many copies in, so there wasn't enough for a display. We have no idea why we were only sent those few copies."

OH THE HORROR! A shortage of Faefever books?! Say it ain't so!

But in any case, I DID score a copy (pulled from the back of the shelf, of course; I try to only buy virgins because I want to be the first to spread open that spine). But damned if tonight isn't game night for my football playin' youngest demon spawn. Ya think my hubby would be a bit pissed off at me if I sat and read Faefever through the game?

Just read it, Bev. Read, read, read! I find football to be agood background noise for reading. :D

I ordered mine, so am a the whim of our postal service. Hopefully it'll arrive by the end of the week. I hope you enjoy it!

I never, ever order books that I have booklust for because they never, ever ship on time. Everytime I've tried, I end up cancelling the order two days after release date because they've never shipped by then.

Oh, and I brought Faefever in the MomMobile, but figured reading during the game was not a cool Mom thing to do, so I behaved myself.

I am second on the library list for it - I can't wait! I have to say I love the series. Thanks for hooking me up.

Don't know if you heard yet, but the family and I are moving to Pittsburgh as soon as our house sells. Ken got a job there. I might actually get to go to a real bookstore in a real city and experience a book signing!

OMG!! It is sooooo freakin' good!

And NOOOOO, I did NOT know you were moving! Cool! Now you'll be closer to us, Columbus, and Louisville. Or wait... that IS good, isn't it? hee

Hi Bev,
Long time no see!
Do you guys really like Moning's writing? After "Bloodfever" I gave up on her.
these are my thoughts after reading bloodfever:
“Bloodfever” by Karen Marie Moning was boring and a waste of time. Mac’s character is way unpolished and unfinished. The story is not making sense and characters are all over the place. Unorganized and with lose ends this is not a series I want to follow.

Is Faefever any better?

Hey Aradia! How U B?

Is Faefever any better?

uh... It's written in the same voice as Darkfever and Bloodfever, so I guess since you hated those you won't like Faefever. However, there is MUCH more action in Faefever than there was in Bloodfever. MUCH more!

Um, yeah.

We are still trying to figure out if it is going to be good or not. I'll let you know when the two hour trip from C-land to Pittsburgh gets to be too short of a drive, if ya know what I mean.

But the kids will be happy, and I will be able to help Grandma with her Christmas sugar cookies again like I used to!!

Didja finish it yet?

Bev(QB) said...

Lissa, look at it this way, at least with that short drive, overnight trips will be less.

Devon. Oh yeah! I finished it on Wednesday. My commentaries on the last 3 Highlander audio books and Faefever are next in the hopper... as soon as I find time to write them and do all the links.

Hurry and post the review - can't wait to hear how it was!

UN-FREAKIN-HOLYSHIT-BELIEVABLE! THAT's how it was! hee.

Homecoming activities all weekend and now work today. So maybe late tomorrow or Wednesday for my commentaries.
